You may not have a formal written plan but every company has "operational rules" that generate a set of behaviors within each employee. In other words sometimes to change employee behavior we need to define senior management behavior.

Once you have defined your culture or organizational structure, management has the responsibility for developing the organization in accomplishing the work of the company. Key Employee Mentoring - to attain their peak performance levels, employees often need the guidance of managers who have substantial management experience. Stoddard and Associates offers an alternative, we mentor key employees to ensure that they are growing and developing in the areas critical to the success of your business.

Accountability - do your employees know what is expected of them? If you asked them, "How do you know if you are doing a good job?" what would they answer? If the answer is "how would I know?" or "because the boss isn't yelling at me", some work is required. Businesses improve their performance when every employee is told what they are responsible and accountable for and when they understand other team member's responsibilities and accountabilities.

Communications Programs - one of the most difficult challenges facing management is to effectively communicate your company vision, mission, goals and objectives. We have seen this time and time again where employees just don't understand why the company exists, where it is headed and what role they play in getting it there.

Most communication problems are not because the message has not been shared, but because it has not been shared often and consistently enough. People don't listen or read at the same speed as you communicate with them. Once you accept this, and develop a new way to reach them your ability to communicate will go way up.
